Brows Leading The Way

Lately in the beauty spotlight brows have become an important feature in what makes a face. One of the recent topics of discussion in brows is Taylor Swift's Wonderland magazine cover. Taylor looks totally unrecognizable due to her bold statement brows. Personally, I LOVE IT! I would rather see this look everyday rather than her usual make-up look with her skinny arched brow and red lip. I feel like that look makes her look stand-off-ish, but that's just me! For those who have no idea what magazine cover I am talking about, here it is:

Taylor looks down to earth with this makeup look and I would not hesitate saying hello to a face like hers on this cover. In no way am I promoting "judge a book by it's cover." Honestly, there are first impressions when meeting someone for the first time and sometimes there is some intimidation. Taylor, thumbs up to this fresh new look.

Bold statement brows are probably my most favorite fashion trend in this generation. Modern day beauties like Lily Collins and Cara Delevigne flaunt their naturally thick brows and I love the confidence. Ever since I was young I always had thick brows. Unlike today, they were my worst nightmare back when I was in my teens. I was teased about my slight unibrow and all I wanted to do was be like the rest of my friends with naturally clean eyebrows. I went through different phases with over plucking because I was constantly feeling the need to tame the brows. Looking back at my old pictures, my skinny eyebrow phase is hard to look at for more than 5 seconds. I wish I was thankful back then for the brows I am born with. Little did I know, some girls out there wish for naturally thick brows.

Sometimes we get lost in the idea of what's beautiful when we're surrounded by our daily influences. Whether they are people we see every day, or people we see in Hollywood. We just need to take a step back, appreciate what we have, and love ourselves! Bold brows for the win!

Always,
Kristel.
